Evolve pen as a new way to interaction & add value by expanding its experience beyond specific apps and to the entire system

To find unmet needs, users not acquainted with the pen were asked their expectations about the product according to different situations.
The research subjects were shown various apps and given S Pen, when asked what they thought would happen.
Based on learning from the study, we came up with 4 concepts for Phase 3.0

4. Scrapbooker
Air command was designed in a form of a pie-like popup that flows our from the tip of the pen in order to point out the relevance between the tool (pen) and the features that users can experience with the tool. We used an asymmetric look is applied to add uniqueness.

Direct pen input
By hovering the pen over the input field, the writing area will appear.
This function aims to replace the soft keyboard for the power pen users.
The writing is recognized and changed into digital writing in handwriting-like font.
Everyone is familiar with scribbling to write. We just helped make sense of it on your digital device.
Chart builder
When user draws charts like a pie graph or bar graph and writes number in the columns, it automatically is converted in a digital form. The tip of S pen lets users easily create and edit the chart.
Scrapbooker
If the user freely draws a shape while pressing on the button, the captured image is outlined in that shape. The images are collected on a scrapbook with the URL.
